Garret GT2540R Specs

Turbine Housing: 0.86a/r.
Compressor Housing: 0.70a/r.
Internally Wastegated.
Rated: 440hp.
Flange: T25/T28

This particular turbo is dubbed as the ‘hot potato’ (I have no idea why). I actually bought this particular for my sr20det and it’s a pretty HUGE turbo. The compressor housing is enormous to say the least. To date i’ve not had a chance to install it but once I do i’ll post the results.

The reason I bought it is that whilst the compressor housing on the GT2540R is huge, the exhaust housing is the same size as a T28 turbo ie spooling up at lower revs and therefore doing away with added turbo lag. Ball bearing turbos also spool up quick to full boost again reducing turbo lag on these bigger turbos. I’ve read alot of good and bad reviews from different owners of this turbo. But out of all the reviews everyone has always stated that the power produced by the GT2540R was AWESOME!
