Custom ECU for your CA18det

daughter board for your ECU

Alot of people go aftermarket - wolf3d, microtech etc etc… These are all pretty expensive and IMO not worth it. The standard Nissan ECU is a pretty ingenious piece of gear and now thanks to the likes of Cam McKinnon and Pete Liebig you can get it modified to suit your purpose :)

Granted the modified version of the ECU doesn’t allow editing of the current as easily - infact you need to be a bit of a nerd to figure the whole thing out. But it is alot cheaper and can achieve a whole lot more with some tinkering around.

Pete has also added a hand controller to enable you to switch between 1 of 4 different fuel maps. For example my setup has the following fuel maps.

1. Standard Fuel Map

2. Drag Racing Fuel Map (more aggressive suited for higher boost)

3. Valet Fuel Map (car is limited to 3000rpm and 60km/h) good for taking your car for a service or tyres etc

4. Hot day Fuel Map (great for hot days - turbos tend to ping like crazy on hot days).

If you want to find out more about this daughterboard for either your sr20det or ca18det visit Pete’s site HERE
